چکیده

This paper presents an approach to the modelling of transient thermal states in electronic circuits using an analytical solution of the heat equation. Fully three-dimensional analytical time dependent solutions are determined with the help of Green’s functions. The solution method is illustrated in detail on a practical example, where the results of transient thermal simulations of a real hybrid circuit are compared with infrared measurements. q 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. Spice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits

An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...

Thermal analysis of layered electronic circuits with Green's functions

This paper presents a method for thermal simulation of electronic circuits using an analytical solution of the three-dimensional heat equation resulting from an appropriate circuit thermal model. The temperature fields in multilayered structures are computed analytically employing the Green’s functions solution method. The entire solution methodology is illustrated in detail on the particular e...

Transient Thermal Stresses Analysis in a FPGM Cylinder

The present study aims to investigate the analysis of stress, strain, displacement, and electrical potential of a thick hollow cylinder made of FGPM under mechanical and thermal loads. Distribution of mechanical property of material is considered along the shell stick through the power distribution function. Thermal loads have been taken to signify the difference of temperature between outer an...

Nonsingular Green’s Functions for Multi-Layer Homogeneous Microstrip Lines

In this article, three new green's functions are presented for a narrow strip line (not a thin wire) inside or on a homogeneous dielectric, supposing quasi-TEM dominant mode. These functions have no singularity in contrast to so far presented ones, so that they can be used easily to determine the capacitance matrix of multi-layer and single-layer homogeneous coupled microstrip lines. To obtain ...

Quantum modeling of light absorption in graphene based photo-transistors

Graphene based optical devices are highly recommended and interested for integrated optical circuits. As a main component of an optical link, a photodetector based on graphene nano-ribbons is proposed and studied. A quantum transport model is presented for simulation of a graphene nano-ribbon (GNR) -based photo-transistor based on non-equilibrium Green’s function method. In the proposed model a...
